coolant disapering

well for the past couple of weeks my car has had little to zero coolant in the res, today I checked the radiator and nothing came out out it when i relived pressure. Im losing coolant somewhere. but I dont smell it inside the car when the heat is on and i checked the oil its not milky also my car runs at a normal temp rate 200. I filled the res back up with fluid and within an hour it was gone. what can this be

Re: coolant disapering

So did you check the radiator cap it could be leaking you could possibly have a hole in the bucket your coolant goes in or even a cracked radiator...I have to replace my radiotor because it's cracked.

Re: coolant disapering

Just let the car run for awhile with a full res. And watch on the ground for any leaks or drips or anything.

I have a 91 Cierra that is loosing Antifreeze. I just discovered tonight that the passenger floor mat is wet w/ antifreeze. I suspect that the heater core in leaking. You may want to check this on your car.

I had the same problem. You need to replace the vacuum modulator valve on your transmission. If you can't find any leaks and it is going that fast its the valve.

Re: coolant disapering

I got a good one, lucky find i guess. There is a tiny hose that hangs down from the motor under or around the steering column and if junk gets up in there somehow it screws up where your fluids go, so stick a hanger up in that bad boy and if you get a bazillion gallons dumped on your head you got it done.
