Service engine soon light?

I have a 1995 Aurora and the service engine soon light is on. I had it tested and it came back with the code 119 Injector opened or shorted. Can anyone help me with this or has it happened to anyone? Thanks!

The only tip that I can give you is that if you want
to do troubleshooting on an Aurora, you absolutely
have to have the scan tool and the factory manual.
Without them, you're lost when the check engine
light comes on.

I agree with Marc_Aurora_2001 as well. You can test the injector resistance with a multimeter, which may help you find the one in question. If you can though, I'd recommend replacing them all. Let me know what size engine do you have and I may have the resistance value for it.

Ummm, all Auroras from 95-99 have 4.0 V8s. Not until 2001 was there even a choice of different engines.

Service Engine soon indication

I had this problem once. This indication was continuously on. I suspected problem with Fuel system so cleaned the fuel system including the Throttle. But the indication SES did not go. After this I did diagnostics; the Mechanic told me as per his reading it is due to a dirty Throttle or a problematic stepper motor. since I had cleaned the Throttle I ruled out that possibility. Regarding the stepper motor I delayed the decision.
After few days I took the car for A/C repair ( gas Leak). After this the SES indication disappeared.
this is my experience with SES.
