hello ive just bought an 83 944 and the dash lights burnt out i took it back to the garage were i bought it and they spent three hours messing with it told me it was fixed but its just the same they also broke my horn while messing and the idle was set to high but now theyve set it to low im fed up withem and want to do it myself but are they big jobs especially the lights does anyone have a haynes manual for sale?

you can get a manual at basically any parts store (auto zone, pep boys, etc.) now, about the idle, it was set too high for a reason, so the fuel cut-off switch would be bypassed. btw, nice car, i have the same one.

Yup. theres a little screw on top of the throttle body that has a lock nut on it. loosen the nut and turn the screw clockwise until the idle is up enough. then tighten the nut.
