1989 240sx lsd

i want to get a lsd for my 1989 240 but im unsure as to what car to get it from.

Would it be easier to import one and do i need the axles off that car to or can i use my own, assuming the lsd comes from a 180sx.

I realy dont want to do the job myself as i watched it done on tv and requires some crazy ass tools that i dont have. How much do you think it would cause to get installed.

From what cars can i get the lsd differential from and what axles should i use.

you could possibly snag one from a more recent SE but, it might need some fabrication to put that bad boy in there...i know you can also get one off of a infiniti j30..but, again fabrication is prolly gonna be required for it to fit.

Re: 1989 240sx lsd

yuck, vlsds bite....or should i say...dont bite good enough....

a nice 1.5 form kaaz will make you feel like youre making love to beyonce

a 2-way will make you feel like beyonce is addicted to you because of your sexy 2-way lsd from kaaz.

i tried tomei before, never tried quaife, and i tried the j30 lsd...all dont work as well as kaaz brand.

im a loyal kaaz consumer now

Re: 1989 240sx lsd

I know that a 95+ J30 LSD goes in with no mods needed(might need to have drive shaft shortened one inch due to ABS sensor but its no confirmed. some have no problems). And pre 95 j30 LSDs need new output flanges.

You ever try Cusco? After I get this shiz running(hopefully soon), I know I want a 1.5 or 2 way LSD. I was considering either Kaaz or Cusco....

Also what's the difference between a 1.5 and a 2 way? 2 way is in effect on both accel and decel, and the 1.5 is only accel..? Can anyone clarify?
