embarassing ?'s

OK, don't laugh. I am fairly new to this. I have always taken my vehicles in for oil changes. How much oil in a 2.0L 2000 Neon? Is it the standard 5 quarts? Also, where is the oil filter located? I am really trying to learn how to maintain my own vehicles. Thanks

Re: embarassing ?'s

so...the oil filter is way the heck under the engine on the left side, i found its easiest to just get on a creeper and slide under to get it off. as far as the amount of oil, 4.5-5 quarts will do the trick

Thanks. I finally found the owners manual (in the trunk w/ the jack). It says 4.5 qts. of oil, so that is what I used. I appreciate your response.
