1998 Bonneville tail light replacement

How do I gain access to replace the rear tail lights on my 1998 Bonneville? I saw the 4 nuts on the underside of the trunk lid, and 1 nut by the center latch, but the fixture didn't loosen. What am I missing?

But I got some help and found out you have to take off teh four plastic plugs on either side ( you just punch theminthe middle and they come right out).
