Question Heater/Thermostat

Does anyone know why it take a 1999 Durango so long to heat up in the winter , I mean like a good 20 minutes or better..even when it it is not real cold? Could this be a faulty thermostat.....that is the first thing that comes to mind. Looking for thoughts
