Yesterday I went to one of the best big fuck off concerts that Australia/NZ ever puts on. The Big Day Out (link-click). Had a ripper of a day and saw some awesome DJs and bands. Fear Factory were special guests and we started there. Then moved onto the boiler room for some random DJ playing trance. Then I bought a camera:

More friends of friends of friends we picked up on the day.


Amanda and Kim. Both just back late Wednesday from a huge fuck off tour of Europe and the US for about 6 weeks. Still jetlagged, still standing, still drinking. GO GIRLS!

DJ PeeWee Ferris. What can I say? Seen him quite a few times and a world class Trance/Hard NRG DJ based in Sydney. All you electronica heads out there - get some of his stuff!

Yes, I know they are shithouse photos. It was raining, there was an electrical storm, there were 30,000 other people there too. I did my best. Needless to say, these guys are still the masters.

Misc
Excellent day, excellent venue, FUCK YOU SECURITY. The one act I REALLY wanted to see was Basement Jaxx at 10:30. Metallica didn't finish till 10:45, so we left about 10:10 to make sure we got in. The boiler room where BJ was playing was packed out with security being Nazi assholes about letting people in/out. HEAPS of people wanted to get out (SOFT!) and a lot of people (ME and my FRIENDS) wanted to get IN. I don't give a flying fuck if some 13 year old broke her leg or lost her dolly. Ruined the night because we were meant to be going to a house party later and it would have meant standing outside in the pouring rain with no music or drugs left until those inside came out.
