Rear Breaks Shake !!!yikes!!!

my friend has a 91' 240sx hatch. when he drives fast and then tend to break the breaks start to shake and then makes this funny noise...the car shakes! WTF is wrong with his car??? oh he drives a auto. so when the car shifts it jerks ONLY when it shifts from first to second gear...any thing please help!

I say his rotors need to be resurface....What size tires does he have? I had a car once that had smaller tires in the front and it shakes when i brake...but that was the front of the car not the back.....Just another option to the problem

buy new rotors, before you do inspect them on the car, just take one tire off and look at it, if its bluish in some spots that means it has heated up real bad and been abused. Also feel up and down along the rotor surface, from inside hub to outer edge... it might feel like it has grooves in it and not flat....... those are the common flaws you can visually inspect yourself pretty easily to see how the rotor is.

BTW does the car jerk from first to second only when hes flooring it or is it all the time? Well, either way sounds like an abused automatic.

my friend does abuse his car but when he's not it still jerks from first to second ALL THE TIME!

i had all those problems on my moms minivan after i seriously abused it for like a month, i replaced the front rotors and the tranny was fucked up and didnt shift right from doing neutral drops.
