tranny problems?

98 gp gt / when i come on the gas at take off and spin tires the car jumps {loud hesistate bumpy noise} as if it's not performing correct . a mechanic called it play in the trans. what is this and how much does this cost to fix?

I would say that depends on the tire compound and the surface friction factor. I the hop is to hard you should check the tranny mounts.
