Question runs then dies

got a 92 chevy 4.3 1500 series pick up. i was putting gas in it and it died. i figured fuel pump. put a new pump and fuel filter on the truck. ran good for a couple days died again. would not start back. gave it a tune up with plugs and wires, would not start back. noticed when cranking their was no fuel coming out of the jets, also there was no fire.
changed out the pick up coil in the distrubutor. started ran for about 10 minutes died again. i wiggled around with the plugs that go into the ignition module and hit the key it started. if i moved the small plug a certain way it would want to kill the motor but i could move it a certain way and it would keep it running. i took the ignition module switch in for testing and it was ok according to the parts store. could the small plug that goes into the module be bad or could i have an ignition coil problem?
