See hun the only problem with this is that most of the guys in this situation are alot like myself. Hopeless romantics that will not only every single detail of the first date, but the full names of the first set of twins we'd have together. All of this before I would even say hello. The reason we don't ask is because of something we call UMS. Ugly male syndrome.

You see we know exactly what would be said. No matter what happens we'll be friends right? The strangest thing about females is that you'll lead us on without knowing it because we'll tell ourselves that what you do isn't a sign of affection or love but we then we really think it is. It's complicated but every guy here that's gone through the high school/college crush crap knows it.

Then the big day comes. We've got our minds made up that you do indeed have strong feelings for us as we have for you. We're gonna tell you what we have to say and what we feel but then.... we do and you'll blush and be considerate but it's too late. We're crushed and now know for a fact that you said no because we have UMS and females generally hate that. So we walk away and try never to be seen again.

All this before we can say hello.

I've never been in that situation. I've never had a guy friend come to me to tell me that he liked me so I guess i cant really speak from experience but i can say that I would hope that if I was the girl, I would have the same feelings or at least somehow try not to hurt the guy...if that makes any sense, i havent been making sense today.

BAH JIM! If anyone knows, it's me. UMS, no, and why? I'm far from it. I get it a lot and here's my twist on the ordeal. I have alot of girls that like me, have crushes etc., I just always have my own. The thing is, I am so popular amongst people, girls especially in lower grades and same level too, but it's I'm seen as the guy they'll never get and they do nothing about or the brother. I've been the brother forever, still cool, smart, evrything ya know, but either they never do anything, mention something about me or if I ever make a move, which hardly I do, I'm chicken schiz, I fall into that guys writing. The friend, the one that the frienship is too valuable.

Now, time to through the truth. i just got out of a relationship in which what the article was about, I was in. We were best friend sand got together. Lasted 7 months, but maybe it wasn't meant to be anyhow. I was the one that broke up with her, but none the less. I'm a firm believer in that best friends can be the most compatble and sometimes they shouldn't try for the sake of their friendship.

I don't know, overall, anyone has any of a chance. Kind of like a soul mate thing. I believe in them, I just think it means that'll be your wife/husband, but perhaps your best friend. What you know 'bout her isn't so much the fact it's more than she's gorgeous, it's that you do care for her. You can care for her forever and you love her, you want the best for her and you want the best for yourself, but that doens't make ya'll the couple. I know this 'cause it's what I'm feeling now. I was shaky for awhile on my ex, I thought I was still in love but in all reality i just love her. I care for her and I want the best.

This feeling isn't something that can be descirbed, not by words of what you feel but more by what you've seen and know. Actions that have occured, such as though listed in our writer's editorial. It was a great piece of work that's based like any other, the obvious that no one wants to admit.

Wanker and I are just friends...We tried to be more than that but it didnt work. And it even actually relates to this thread....We were friends, I made the move towards him, it worked we both wanted to try to be together, but after a few months, we decided that it just wasnt working. I guess I'm still unclear on why it wasnt working but whatever. We're good friends now.
