Adding Power locks/Windows?
Is it possible to get a kit or take my S10 somewhere and have them install power windows and locks to replace my old manual ones? I'm curious because I'm wanting to put a little money into the truck for creature comforts, and it'd be nice to (as the ultimate goal) put in a keyless entry and remote starter (I hate going outside in the morning to warm it up before work).....

Re: Adding Power locks/Windows?
it's actually not to hard of a job....best bang for the buck, go to the wreckers and gut out a couple power doors, since the switches are right on the door panel there is minimal wiring into the cab that you have to worry about. Most doors, power or not, still have all the mounting holes there so if you make some notes when you take them apart it will make it a breeze when installing them....back to the wiring i think it's only a power and ground, make sure the power is on the accessory circuit so the key will turn them off (or maybe not if you want them live all the time). Goodluck, let me know how it goes.

I haven't done it, but it can't be that hard to do. Here is the link for a kit from JC Whitney http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...atalogId-10101 If the link didn't work let me know. Let me know how it goes.
