I know its recommended but is it >NECESSARY<? If i dont is there anything else I >>NEED<< to get so my ride doesnt fuck up in two months? PLEASE HELP !!Thx.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention above. What about if I dropped my car 1.8 in front and 1.7 in back with springs. How would my car be if I left my stock struts/shocks and no camber kit.

No you don't need aftermarket struts, but you will in a few months. Struts control springs & can not control lowering springs properly. Upper strut mounts & dust boots should be replaced while it apart & possibly camber kits.

Re: 1-1.5" drop springs REQUIRE extra mods?

It's a very wise idea to replace the springs & struts together, especially if your paying to have it done. You will be paying double labor charges if you replace the springs & wait for the stock struts to go bad. Also ride quality will be very poor, whats the point of "upgrading" if your making things worse?

Suspension is not something to cheap with because you feel it every time you drive. The more you drop, the more $$$ you need to spend.

You can find more information posted about your same question in the suspension forum.

Re: 1-1.5" drop springs REQUIRE extra mods?

When I first got my car, I went to Les Schwab to see how much lowering would cost. They said it would run me $950. At hearing this (I was very shocked, trust me) I asked if that just included springs or if that included replacement struts and what not. The guy said no, $950 is just for springs and labor. So I tried to be polite and leave but the guy was being a total dick about me wasting his time (2 minutes, he had actually made me wait 15 minutes first while he talked to his friend about skiing). I ended up just walking out.

I mean, shit, for $950 I can buy TEIN coil overs.

note to everyone:

Random Ebay Intake w/shitty apc filter....fine
Cheapy Ebay n1 "style" catback....alright
Ebay DC Sports "style" ceramic header...very well..

but never...EVER cheap out on your suspension.

Do it once, and do it right.
