Re: Re: eclipse gsx vs. srt-4

wtf are you yalking about newbie if you got nuthing to add to his question dont post.. damm newbies..
yes the gsx can hold up to 500whp with stock internals and can be boosted to 22psi with proper fuel magament, but you also need to upgrade the turbo b\c the stock t-25 will only boost to around 17 psi, go to www.dsmtuners.com and look at their tuning guid for the 2g eclipse it can explain in more detail. also if you buy the gsx you will have more $ for mods with spending about 5'g into you gsx you can easily see mid 12's range, with the proper tuning of course.
the str-4 is a nice car stock, i dont know about how well it takes to mods but i would take the gsx it does take well to mods, the block is a iron block so it is stronger, and the internal componets are better i would say.
good luck

The second statement was ok. The forst was not. Know your role when you're in the DMS section Inside jokes are fine, but dont expect us to get them. We're used to asshats coming in and making similar comments, and they are not joking. No way to tell the difference.

Both cars are badass. If it was SRT4 vs GST I would say go SRT4. Extra displacement isnt a bad thing. The aftermarket should continue supporting the car. But for drag racing, AWD is the only way to go. So I have to give the nod to the GSX as well.

Re: Re: Re: Re: eclipse gsx vs. srt-4

i never heard of at-25making such boost leves even with fuel managment, im sorrie maybe your turbo is ported or you have a 14b but i think the rest of the people here will agree that we never heard of 22-23 psi the t-25 top out around 17 no higer, even all the places i looked and people that ahve worked dsm say the same thing..

Re: eclipse gsx vs. srt-4

I've posted several times that I ran over 20 psi on my t25, and I meant to But just like when you run 17 psi, it will drop to below 15 psi by 5500 rpm. Yuo only get the extra boost in the midrange. Never say never unless you've tried it yourself.

Re: eclipse gsx vs. srt-4

i know both i have seen them go at it at the tracks the srt-4 is some faster which is supprising to me im a dsm lover but know tons about neons because 2 of my buddies are like neon gods and both run in the 12 seconds (1/4 mile) the neon with mods show easy and are very light but being new like 99 or newer for the srt-4 the neon has become far harder to tune because all the other crap but they are both a great car if you get the srt-4 there is a stock turbo up grade when you order it and i would recomend gettting that it does give i believe 15 to 20 hp diffference and i dont think it cost to much to do. make sure you local dodge dealer will work on it because i know some will not tuch one or even order one which is stupid
