New lights

Hi!! Help me with this one please. I changed my old bulb lights (original) for new xenon HID one because I almost killed myself on the highway because I couldn't see 10 meters in front of me...the problem is I still dont see a damn thing in front of the car. But someone told me there is a way I can adjust the focus on the headlight. Do i need to clean up the interior of the whole thing??

I had that problem on my Tracer, which is the same as an escort if you didn't know. My lights were yellowish in colour, so I bought this buffing compound and buffed them till they were clear again. This helped for more visibility. Hope that helps. If you want the name of the product I used just ask, cuz it worked really well.
