nsx-r vs rx-7

I was reading the other posts about the "NSX-R VS RX-8" ,honestly thats no comparison at all! Considering the new NSX-R did one "Evo" car of the year, hell they even compared the NSX-R with the v12 ZONDA! and guess what..they chose the NSX-R for its sheer driveability on the track.

To start on the "NSX-R vs RX-7" comparison, well again totally different class, I would take the NSX-R without a single thought, overall a great balanced car, almost perfect.....what say all???

heres the original thread from EVO magazine.
http://www.runeb.org/www_docs/Jexoti...eo/evonsxr.htm

Track battle with I believe is a normal NSX, a NSX type S, NSX type R( the old one), NSX-R( the latest one), Skyline gt-34, Porsche gt3, good race, even better outcome!
I got the video but if someone can tell me how to link it here, I will gladly do so.

Last but not least, the link below shows a another battle this time with porsches, the marciellago, ferrari f-50 and the NSX-R, interesting outcome again considering the honda has half the horse power and half the cylinders of most of the cars here..
http://www.runeb.org/www_docs/Jexoti...erCar_Race.mpg

So who would really choose if they could from the RX-7 vs NSX-R?

Re: nsx-r vs rx-7

that was pretty funny that the nsx-r almost beat the lamborghini in the video. if only the nsx-r had more power it could of won cuz it lost in the straightaways.

that would be a hard choice between the rx-7 and nsx-r. i lover the rotary engine and it is best in the rx-7 and not the rx-8. but i cant get past the nsx-r and its near supercar performance and looks. i would take the nsx-r, now if they sold that in the u.s. (if they do, i didnt know that).

**EDIT** i am sooooo glad that the ferrari f-50 won. YES.

Re: nsx-r vs rx-7

The NSX-R, faster and the scream is absolutely amazing. I should also mention Ayrton Senna's part in the NSX development, the NSX is simply a masterpiece and it's a shame that nobody buys them.

re: nsx-r vs rx-7

i would take the rx-7 since it costs much less and is actually sold in the US. i would use the difference in price to switch out the 2 rotor engine for a 20B. then dump the rest of the money into the engine. then we'll see which car is better.

NSX-R vs RX-7 cont..

I doubt if they gonna sell the NSX-R in the states, here in the UK they are still thinking of it,but it looks hopefull, you can however import it for about £75,000. i did read on a article saying they didnt want to dump so much horsepower in the NSX-R simply because it would sway the balance of the near perfectly balanced car already. they intended to build the NSX-R for pure driving pleasure (with a bit of steroids!), not just balls -out-speed,although it does the 1/4 in mid 12's and hit 175mph on the Nurburgring circuit

Ok I have another link here, dont know if its the actual one I was talking about,oh yea just right click and "SAVE TARGET AS" because it wont work by streaming it directly.

http://64.246.54.65/rf_videos/road_r...urburgRing.asf

Doesnt the RX-7 have problems with its rotary at times? I know they have tried to improve it via the RX-8,but then its more family orientated then say the RX-7. Although its a nice car (RX-7) and is pretty rare up here in london, NSX-R still my choice hands down, and sure if you mod a RX-7 it will go like a bat out of hell, but modding a NSX-R even more well.... and before anyone says about the money difference between these two cars, if you can afford a £75,000 car then you probably wont be worried about another 15 grand on top for aftermarket products!

Re: nsx-r vs rx-7

i want to learn more about the nsx-r. is it turbo or n/a? i have a video of a nsx-r beating a ferrari f-360 in a 1/4 mile race and if something beats a ferrari, its worthy.

Re: nsx-r vs rx-7

Championship White...it works wonders for me!

(Sidebar...back in the day...90's...not sure about now...the white cars sold higher than any other color...they were highly respected by the Japanese and hence highly sought after as well.)

Mate, it looks totally off the hook! the Red "R" Honda badges help set it off too IMHO

Re: nsx-r vs rx-7

Even is the price on the NSX-R was the same as the Rex id still pick the Rx-7. Looks on the Rx-7 is just untouchable ...

Re: nsx-r vs rx-7

i would take the NSX-R because it is more of a rare car, though you can put a 3 rotor engine in the RX-7 and make it hella fast. but as far as stock goes, NSX-R

Yea very sexy exterior, but it has only been a HONDA badge on the NSX here in the UK, Europe, Japan and anywhere else you can find the NSX, except for the US where its ACURA..personaly I prefer the HONDA badge since the ACURA one looks a bit "STAR TREKKY!!!"

Anyone seen the future of the NSX concept (HSC).....yummy!
