RB26DETT into a 910/Bluebird

Want to swap a rb26dett with rb25dett RWD gearbox into a 910. How difficult will this swap be! I foresee firewall modifications! Anything else to be aware of? HELP!!!!!!!!

Re: RB26DETT into a 910/Bluebird

Everything.
The whole engine weighs like 3 times as much...
Please be realistic, a CA18DET, SR20DET or even a FJ20DET would be heaps of power in such a light car...

Re: RB26DETT into a 910/Bluebird

a rb26 is only 1.5 times the weight of the ca18

It can be made to fit. you will need some big front struts and recess the firewall around the back of the motor and enlarge the tunnel

SR20DET vs RB26DETT....hmmmm....I don't think so....already have SR20DET....want to feel power of the twin turbo....I saw a RB26 drop in a KE70 Toyota corolla, pretty simple except for firewall and shifter outlet modifications...wild ride!!!

Re: RB26DETT into a 910/Bluebird

I have seen lots of blue burds with CA18DET and SR20DET transplants but none with a RB26dETT that is real power. It will need alot of work and time but the end product will be worth it. Just a thought will a VG30DETT fit better its not as long but wider. Just a thought.
