Question Turbocharging LS teg

My question is for the LS motors, I want to turbocharge it and was thinking what type of setup would be the best form your experiences. I heard that the t3/t4 turbo hybrid is the best for spooling (no lag) and top end power. Do you guys agree? I think it was in a recent issue of Sport compact and they got huge numbers (PSI & HP) from a B18 motor. I wanted to know also if the AEM programable ECU thing was good? It seems better then the Hondata. What about fuel delivery? Rails/injectors/reguators/pumps....? Like specific types you have tried and know it works.

Sorry for all the Q's but I want to know cuz Im pretty close in getting a LS...

Thanks all in advance

Re: Turbocharging LS teg

I would go with the T3/T4 it is a good choice, unless you are wanting to stay with small boostthen it might be a small over kill. Now for the AEM standalone my opinon is that it is alot of money for alot of extra features that you will not use. I think that Hondata is all you need. Depending on what kind of boost you are wanting will determine the size of the injectors you will need, and for the fuel rail I think you are fine unless you are wanting to produce some real high numbers. You will need a new fuel pump, walbro makes a nice intank one that is around $110. Now that fuel pressure regulator will be need to be changed also. But instead of getting a FMU get hondata, the s200 with boost opiton is all you need, it is capable of doing everything that needs to be done.

Thanks man....!

But I was think also about the future and would like "extra stuff" to be contoled all in one, like lunch contol, Nitrous, cooling fan, and other cool gagets for my car....

Also can someone explain more in depth about the programing of these computers....I like I heard you need to know the "language" to program them and is it called OBD? Or else you will have to have a shop do it all and thats not what I want. A laptop in the car would be cool

A little off subject but who here has air bags (air springs) in there car?

My theory is either all Go or Show and Go...NERVER SHOW...

All Go is for the trailers (too ugly on streets) so im gonna shoot for the Show and Go.

Bags offer show and very comfy ride...also stiffen it for some little leage racing

I hate the F&F shit....All the cars there are really ugly! My personal prefs are a very clean car...usually a mono-color theme (must be damm good multi-color car to impress me) and a nice body kit. Simple body kit. The Focus Rally car body kit (older ones) is the cleanest you can get (my type). As for the wheels, some 17" whould be good for street and show. Only thing I would do from the momo-color is a CF hood...not really for weight as for the extreme sexy look

Anyways lets stay on subject...

Getting off topic is what we do. I like the way you handled that, even though I said no offense(and I meant it) some people probly would have got pissed. Props.
