Mazda 3 - Surprising

I went to the Motor Trend show in Baltimore Sunday and one of the most surprising cars there was the Mazda 3. The first thing that catches your eye is the styling. It's very cool, not at all showing the low price tag. I sat in the hatch and sedan and I could really picture myself driving one of these. I didn't take a close look at the options lists, but the models there were all under $17k. One had navigation, but unfortunately I didn't remember to see what engine package was in them. My point is that this is a cool little car and a more than worthy predesessor to the Protege. There is no reason for these not to sell like crazy.
