850 Electrical Problem (HELP!!!)

Have a problem with v 850 (92), every now and then (more often in the summer), the hazard lights start flashing - only resolved by taking the fuse out. After standing for a few hours the problem goes away.

Any idea of what is causing the problem and how much it will cost to get fixed would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Rob

Re: 850 Electrical Problem (HELP!!!)

yes, the problem, i believe is the 'crash control unit' sounds like a big deal, but it's basically just a relay that's suppose to be triggered by the SRS in an accident to turn the flashers on. they fail a cause the hazards to come on all by 'themselves' . should be under the drivers dash [cover panels & knee-bolster removed] if they've been on about 15 minutes with the key off, it''ll be the warm one. just replace it.
