What is code p1443??

My check engine light came on and I had the codes read. It said p1443. The code check was free, but the mechanic said he would have to charge me $99 to tell me what it ment. The only thing he told me was to change my gas cap, but the check engine light is still on after the change..Any help would be appreciated...thanks

I think it's either the EVAP sensor or EGR code, just buy a 20 dollar repair manual from a parts store, the codes are in the book.
