putting a wet substance on tires or the ground around them will create more smoke because the heat making the wet substance evaporate will create steam as well as the smoke already coming from your tires. plus having something wet on the road allows the tires to spin more freely and break tractions easier.

but...since this has absolutely nothing to do with drifting...
