Re: Newbie BOV question

I just ran a thread on the same exact subject yesterday. Look down for the thread. Basically, from what I know, the difference between venting to the atmosphere and reciculating.. is exactly what it sounds like. If you vent... the extra air pressure is vented out into the atmosphere through your bov. If you recirculate it, it goes from your bov, back into your intake. The purpose is that the mas reads the amount of air your engine takes in, thus counting the air from the bov. If you vent it to the atmosphere, you're missing air and it causes problems with the mixture. But by reciculating, the air goes right back into the intake and you're good to go. It's not as loud, but probably better in the long run. Esp if you're still running the t25 and have minimal mods. I've done a lot of research in the last few days on BOV's. From what I've found, the hks ssqv and the greddy type-s are the nicest and best performing for recirculating. Just make sure to upgrade your uicp when you buy your bov, and get a boost guage. Good luck. I'm sure someone else will post more info

Re: Newbie BOV question

Its a good BOV, good for 20-25psi before a good one leaks. But i still like my HKS Racing BOV Type II. It works wonders and i LOVE the look(most people find it ugly).
