K20A2 vs 3SGTE

Which is a better motor Turbo (or TT), K20A2 or 3SGTE?
The Honda engine definately owns the Toyota motor NA no doubt, so I'm still wondering which motor I should pick for a TT setup. (I'm a hardcore NA guy, this is my first time going for a TT setup)

Need a decision. K24A and H20C is out of the question.

go with the Type S motor. The K20A2 LOVES to be force fed. if you can check out www.cybernationmotorsports.com They r pros in turbo n the RSX motor. they have an RSX pushing well over 470 HP with i think 350 ft/lb of torque. This motor is the shiznit!

Toyota Celica with Fiber/Carbon composite body parts custom widened and have center locking nuts. Reason is it's light, and it only costs 16k plus I can get it for 15k cash up front. Damn an NA K20A is already very enticing. It can already do 320HP/220TQ NA, I wonder how much more power we can squeeze out of that thing after we bore x stroke it to 2.3, and add individual throttle bodies. Possibly 340HP/260. Might just go NA, don't know cant freaking decide...Does anyone know of an engine that can fit inside a celica capable of huge amounts of power?? Say...700ish on TT?

The ever popular 2JZ? Convert an AWD celica to RWD by stuffing that in there?

Just boost the hell out of the 3sgte.. Trial and error.

I had no idea you could run a K20a2 up to 320HP NA.. is that crank or wheel horse power?

hey, just found this.. thought you might find it interesting...

http://people.clemson.edu/~averma/Prelude.htm

similar size engines.. there's no doubt in my mind you could run higher numbers on a K series.

Yes you can, take a look for yourself: http://www.vtec.net/articles/view-ar...icle_id=101836 I know the guys who put together that kit. Some of the parts in that kit weren't even the best parts available at that time. So it is possible to get more power from that motor, NA.

Oh sorry about that I ment H22C.

It doesn't fit but it can be made to fit with custom mounts. We have Lotus Elises and Exiges with both Honda and Toyota engines (K20A, H22C, B18C and 3SGTE) The problem is that the Lotus itself is 50k (usd) each. They are beautiful cars and are very light, 2000 lbs to be exact, but is way too expensive. An RSX is better priced, but a base Celica is 4k cheaper and is lighter. That's why I'm so excited. It's like our budget grew an extra 33k.
