99 Ford Ranger - dead in acc, run, start
Hoping someone can help. I've got a 99 Ford Ranger extended cab, 3.0 L Flex-Fuel. It just died while driving it the other day. When the key is turned to start or run, nothing works. The engine does not turn over, no radio, no wipers, no fan, etc. The lights, hazard lights, and horn work fine. Basically, everything that is supposed to work without the key turned to acc or run works ok, nothing else does. I replaced the ignition switch, no change. I've got continuity through all ground and positive wires. All fuses check ok (driver's side kick panel and underhood). Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks. |

Re: 99 Ford Ranger - dead in acc, run, start
How's the battery? It's either the battery or the starter relay. I don't think that anything else can give you those symptons, at least that I know of.
Good luck, and post back when you fix it. |
