Won't Start?

I ran into this problem with my '91 4.0L....would not start. Found the rotor tip completely gone, the inside of the dist cap looked like a sewer pipe. After changing the rotor, dist cap and coil....still would not start. The wire leading from the coil to the dist was bad. I've done shade tree mechs for years and this is the very first time I've ever come up against this.

Re: Won't Start?

The problem was the crankshaft position sensor.
