89 silverado, free mods

anyone know any mods i can do to my truck for free, it is 89 silverado with 350 and 102k miles, and the only mods i have are wide tires and a tanauo cover. any ideas would be apreciated.

inside the big black tube your air intake runs into is whats called a noise reducer. i also chokes some of the air flow off. by removing the small tube u can gain a couple of horses

sorry so confusing. if your truck still has the factory breatherand air intake system, there should be a large black oval shaped box right next to the fender. inside this box is a noise reducer (small tube that narrows down in the middle), this "noise reducer" is removable. by takeing it out there is no air restriction anymore.

thanks 72rs, ill check that out tomorro. but the thing im talking about is farther down the intake towards the TB. it connects to the underside of the intake. it is like a duct that travels down and connects to the exhast i believe. i think it draws hot air off the engine to heat it up faster. i was wondering if this can be removed, and how to do so.

oh ya, and the air box mod looks like it only works on that kinda filter, mine is a round filter around the throttle body.
keep in mind that my truck is a 89'
