K-series Motor

im thinking of getting a rsx later this year.....i was wondering what kind of internal mods you guys have done to your car.....i know that the cr-v's K24 crankshaft(99mm) can fit rsx's engine block.....i dont really want a type-s cuz of the insurance(i want one but im still young with a high insurance).........but with some good ideas i could have a preety fast car.....voiding the warranty in the process....i like the look of the rsx.........does anyone like the new accord? 7gen

No he was not saying he wants a 4 wheel drive RSX. Can you read? he was saying INTERNAL MODS!! NOT TRANNY MODS!!!

Folks it is not impossible for you to make an RSX AWD but unless you are bill gates or the owner of a shop with a LOT of time on your hands..FORGET ABOUT IT. The CRV and element are about a foot longer than the RSX so guess how much work would have to be done to EVERYTHING! (Not to mention all that extra weight you would have on that RSX. It would be the slowest thing on the block. Just might handle good in the snow.)

Forget messing with the crank by the way. Just swap the bottom end from Accord,CRV or Element into the RSX. The k24 block mates to the RSX head perfectly..(but why would you do that? you said you didnt want a type-s.... so the k24 has 160 hp and so does the rsx. Its just that you have GOBS of torque in the K24. Soooo the answer? SWAP the entire k24 into the rsx. )

But all of this information is falling on broke ears...like I said before you need lots of money or you must own your own shop. Which I have...which is how I got my engine work done.
