94 Jimmy stinks

My 94 jimmy 4.3 vortec stinks like rotten eggs. I have replaced CO2 sensor, converter, and muffler. I have replaced the fuel injectors about 1 1/2 years ago. The truck starts fine and idols fine. It is using alot of fuel also. Any idea what else I could replace? Thanks

Re: 94 Jimmy stinks

Is it a W series...sounds like internal fuel lines...or fuel pressure regulator leaking...is the gas milage poor? How much did it cost to replace the fuel injectors? have you tried the fuel injector cleaner the GM makes...it is about $21. a bottle and should be ran thru once a year...I hope this helps...

Re: 94 Jimmy stinks

The injectors cost about $275.00. I put the bottle of injector cleaner (GM) in about a year ago. I'm not sure if it smells like gunpowder. I'll put a bottle of injector cleaner in first then if it still stinks I'll take off the cover and look at the injectors and see if there leaking. Thanks mjohn

Re: 94 Jimmy stinks

mjohn you ask me if it smells like gunpowder and I took my truck for a ride today and it does smell like gunpowder. Really strong. Could it be something different from we talked about? Thanks

Re: 94 Jimmy stinks

sounds like a fuel pressure regulator leak...or internal fuel lines leaking...if you replace the CPI unit I am hoping it would last more than 1 1/2yrs...
