These would be going on a 2002 Rsx Type S. I think the offset is 42mm. Will this still work

well.... i'm not too sure to be honest with you. i think it may be too big and too wide. you may have to roll fenders to make sure they fit without rubbing. and also you probably could not lower your rsx. i am in california, btw. and no tires.
