66 Ss 396

Hello....New to the Forum and glad to be here!

I need some help. I am looking for a 66 SS. I am looking for VIN# 138176A135499. It was a Chateau Slate on Black 396/325 4spd. It also had a black vinyl top. I have some information on this car that the owner might like to hear about. I know they would! Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hope to hear from someone soon!

Re: 66 Ss 396

Let's see...I've personally decoded your VIN number ,which says this car is a 66 Chevelle, SS396 2 dr. sport coupe, made in Atlanta/Lakewood, Georgia. If the paint was enamel, the paint code would be "W", if it's lacquer, it should be "3W", and the two letter engine code should be "ED" (for 396/325, manual trans). Sounds like an awesome car. Mind if I ask what the "good news" is?
