Mods which would boost HP a lot on Twin Turbo Stealth

I was wondering what kind of mods would put a lot more HP into a 1991 stock stealth with not too much money ( all together 1 grand to spend)

The mods I made are

K&S filter injection system
Borla Exhaust
GRReady boost controller
HKS Blow Off Valve

The K&S filter is cheep. The exhaust if bought used off a guy I found on the internet. I think I paid $200. The boost controller was $700. The boost controller is Awesome. When I run 12psi boost there are not many cars that can touch me. I raced a Mustang with three stage nitrous last week and blew him away

I have had these mods for 6 years and drove the car every day. 160,000KM on the car and the engine still runs like a charm.

I would personally go with a manual boost controller, which can be had for under $100. get a custom exhaust, as the prefab ones are WAY too expensive. Get some turbo (1G talon or eclipse) fuel injectors. A supra fuel pump. And, a S-AFC fuel controller. My stealth is running at about 15psi (not all the way to redline, but close) and is pretty fast for the little money I spent on it. Of course, it is completely gutted, so weight savings help in that dept.

if you want to be really cheap about it...

gut all of the cats, buy an $18 manual boost controller and a $20 manual boost guage, some cheap air filter for about $30, 1G dem injectors (probably real cheap used), hot wire the fuel pump (not sure on cost but probably real cheap), then buy a 3sx pully and some cam gears. you could probably get that all done for $1k if you shoped around. turn the boost up to about 16psi, maybe higher, and i bet you could get about 150 extra hp to the crank.

Stock 9B turbos won't hold 16psi for very long... I think around 6Krpm the stealth drops from 15psi to 12psi until redline... Kinda sucks, but its fun while the boost lasts.

i have allways heard 10 - 11 psi to redline but yea, dropping off at about 6k rpm. i have hear people hold 17 psi for a while though and spikes up to 19 psi or so.

For $1000 in mods you can run 12's with good driving skills.
I chose the expensive route in mods but for $1000 this is what I would do.
MBC(manual boost controller) $18 proboost i believe makes a good one.
boost gage($20-$150+) I have autometer $50
Ebay intake $30
Downpipe (i like stillen) $360 for stillen aprox 15lbs lighter as well.
gut remained rear precat(free if you have tools)

Then either 450cc DSM injectors ($100 usually)
SAFC 1 or 2 verson 2 is little under $300
Walboro fuel pump $95

Or save for a new upgraded clutch..

This all depends what the person is looking for. I wouldn't recommend a manual boost controller to anyone who isn't going to run X boost ALL the time. The EBC are better for running one level boost at one time, and another level of boost at other times. Personally, I like running 15psi all the time, but it's not for everyone. My idea is, if I don't want the added power, I keep my foot out of the gas.

I agree as well, if your going BPU and want to do it cheap and dont plan on pushing it a MBC is a good choice.. For me I bought the SBC-ID boost controller cause I want to run 12-13psi normally but bump it to 14-15psi if racing or something..

But for $1000 HP/money situation thats not the best way to go..
