Question just dropped and already probs :(

yesterday was a bad day. i just put some H&R sport springs on my car and the second i start to drive shit goes down! what went down was that my front left shock is fucked... i have to get new ones. i was thinking the bilstien their a good cheap shock (compared to others) but money is a serous issue. and i want this fixed asap. to save up 600 $ for shocks is going to take me a while with my payments and all. do you think buying one more stock shock would be a waist of money? because the rest a probly going to blow further down the road i know the aftermarket are going to be nessesary but my pals are saying (and so are the guys at the shop) that the shock could have just been a weak one from (maybe from hitting a pot hole or somthing) all i know i that i want it fixed fast because that front left shock feels like its taring apart my car with all of the the loud thump, cracks, and squeeks. .........doesnt this blow rick

That sucks, I don't recommend replacing just one strut, you should do them in at least pairs(front or rear prefer all 4). Look into some Tokico HP's they are a decent strut for the money.

Re: just dropped and already probs :(

where do you get bilsteins for cheap? last i checked bilsteins were the most expensive coilovers for bmw's, so why would it be so cheap for integras? (i know you're looking for shocks but still). i agree with jackasssi, either get hp's or kyb agx, and replace all of them at the same time. it'll save you money in the long run.

Re: just dropped and already probs :(

yea i decided on the KYB's, i'll just have to go easy on my half ass stock shocks right now.. and for the cheap bilstein i went to nopi and noticed this http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?...Strut&vaffid=0 coreect me if im wrong but i beleive thats a bilstien strut...but its just rear it doesnt have front there.

Re: just dropped and already probs :(

Those are definatly Bilstein's. Don't bother with GR2's if thats what your looking at, AGX will be ten times better. Tokico HP would be better than GR2.

Don't forget upper strut mount bushings, good time to replace those while it's all apart. Tire Rack has KYB's

What time is she coming over tonight?

Re: just dropped and already probs :(

Not really, just a good idea to replace. Kinda like replacing a timing belt, it's just stupid not to replace the water pump.

Indeed it does. I tried calling last night but I figure you were chillin with robobbie and ry for his last night before he moved. Definitely a good idea to go with the AGX's and I dont for see any horrible problems if you only get them on the front. But if you can get the money together do all four corners. Dont forget about the dudes down your street the are a great resource. They may be able to give you some serious help! THey know what they are doing. And you and I both know how good all of their drops look!

P.S. give you Ma and Pops a hello and I would love to know what your old man has to say about this! (I bet it is something similar to hell raising)

Now this guy has a sense of humor! ("what time is she coming over") Oh the hilarity! This kid is on a budget so he can't just go out and buy a polyurethane set of bushings. He will be ok with out doing this right away.

Are those bottles in the back of your Vette? what size shot?
