Tires: Whats good for the streets?

I got some nice lookin rims, had them for a good 2-3 months sittin in my garage and I got a good hookup on tires but lets face it, coughin up anywhere from 200-600 for some tires on top of the rims is pretty crazy. Anyways I was wondering if anyones ever had experience with the Nitto Neo-Gens. Any good? And whats your fav for the streets?

Re: Tires: Whats good for the streets?

I recommend (since I'm an autocrosser):

Yokohama ES100
Kumho 712s
Kumho MX
Toyo T1S
NOTHING FROM SHITTO!
Dunlop Sp5000

NOne of these tires are great in the snow though.

Re: Tires: Whats good for the streets?

My friend went through 2 sets of Kumho 712's and I didn't like them very much, wore out quick and didn't offer that much traction.

I think I am going to go with the Bridgestone S-03's after some serious thought. Just need to burn through these shitty Bridgestone Potenza RE92's first.

I run 225/50/15 BFG dr's on front and 205/55/15 yoko AVS ES 100's on the back, hooks great for a street tire.

Re: Tires: Whats good for the streets?

yah they are really bad, but I've heard that the 2nd gen ones weren't that bad. I don't know anyone with them so I can't really pass judgement on them.

Ive been through others and the prada 2's are WAYY better than those nittos u were saying

There is no such Kumho 718. I had them for 30 autocrosses and 15,000 miles when I sold my set. Make sure you have the correct alignment settings or any tire will wear quick.
