please help car wont start and wife is mad!
Hey guys, I need your help. I have a 94 civic v-tec. The car was running just fine not problem except me o2 sensor. So I pulled the car in to replace the o2 sensor with a bosh universal one and I replace the cap and rotor. Now the car will not star. There is no spark. I put the orignal cap and rotor back on still won't start. I checked to codes, reset the computer, nothing. Thre is no check engine light either. could the o2 sensor stop the car from running? what can I do or check to see why I am not geting any spark. whould having my firing order wrong stp the car from starting. thatnks guys

Yes having the spark plugs wires in the wrong place wll allow the car not to start or run very poorly. *TIP* when replacing cap leave the plug wires on the old cap & switch 1 wire at a time.
If guessing yourself about the firing order then that would be the place to start. Number 1 cylinder is closest to timing belt - Number 4 is closest to trans. Facing the engine from the front - 4 3 2 1 Cap firing order - http://www.binghamtonlife.com/manual...s/91-23-60.jpg Make sure the rotor is screw is tight, not over tight or it will crack. If you used parts other than Honda I suggest removing the rotor screw & appling a small amount of thread lock(honda rotor comes with thread lock applied) |

I'm having issues with firing too. Replaced plug wires one at at time and the car ran fine for two miles and quit. Getting no fire now.

Re: please help car wont start and wife is mad!
check the ignition coil out, i had the same prob, it just kinda goes bad i guess.....its the piece with the spring.....take it out and test it with an ohmeter set at 200 ohms 1st...touch the two wires on the meter to the two connections where screws were in before...u should get around 1. sumthing or another,,,,then change the ohmeter to 20k or 200k, touch the positive feed that had the screw and the part that the spring is attached to......if u get anything under 15., the car wont start...i had the same prob and it was reading like 9. sumthing. i replaced the ignition coil and it runs like new.

My issue once was with the ignitor. Costs about $100. If it isn't the ignition coil, post your findings and I will see what I wrote in my log when I had a bad ignitor.

Bosch Universal o2 sensor wasn't smart to start out with! Ebay an Denso for $50. Double Check Wireing. Hondas little coils can be tricky
