Hey whats going on, I just found this forum and so far its been pretty helpfull, I just got a 92 v-6 2wd 4runner w\ 128k and have a few questions.

-Anyone have problems with their rear window not rolling down? Its fine if I use the key in the back but somtimes it would be nice to use the button by the ect power, Maybe a bad wire or somthing?

-Gas mileage, wow its horrible, I have a magnaflow exhaust, K&N filtercharger, its at 15mpg on the freeway with the ect off and the od being used, driving a 75. Normal? My runner is not lifted but it has 31s on it and I thought maybe that threw the Odometer off alittle and I was driving faster than I thought?

-I can hear the K&N sucking air in and it sounds sort of tinny is that supposed to sound that way?

-My alternator is only 80amps, but my cousins 99 4cyl is a 120amps, is the mounting any different between the years? I was thinking about upgrading this for sound system, and I was told that I cant get mine rewound to a higher amperage?

If anyone has any tips or anything for me please let me know so I dont wander aimlessly around in circles waiting for problems, are there any things that I should have checked\serviced? What about the Motor sludge problem that I read about?

Hi! I just know the answer to your back window problem. It is the window motor that needs replacement. You can buy the Toyota 4runner manual and do it youself , not big deal, it will take you a few hours. Try not to buy a new motor(way too much) or from the junkyard(will not work). My advice is to order a used or remanufactured motor with warranty on the internet. On partsamerica.com a new one is $119.00.
