'62 v6 to v8 conversion

We are the proud owners of an all original 1062 GMC pickup, which has a 305 V6 powerplant with a 4 on the floor. We are planning to install a 350 with a 400 auto trans. What parts and/or modifications are needed?

if any one has info on completing this changeover, please feel free to email us at [email protected]. our main cofusion is how and where to install the perches for the engine. Are we going to have to chgange the front cross member???

hey there.
stovebolt.com has all the knowledge in the world for old chev & GM's.
I know that you need to have 2 of the same motor mounts. One of the origional 6 cyl motor mounts and another the same. If you need help those fine people will help. Tell them GMC 910 sent you.
