got my strut brace...

below a picture of my new strutbrace... it's a poor quality image... but well, it gives an idea. I also have included a zoom of my car's mounting point... do you see the rubber 'lining' ... is it ok for the strut to be partly mounted on that rubber lining? imo it has to be mounted tight to the frame...not on rubber... do your cars have the same thing?

Their are no stupid questions, only stupid answers . The euro forum seems a bit slow, maybe because of the holidays. I can't help you with this, but I'm sure you will get some answers.

Look in my topic about my car i wanted to change, you will find some good pics in there, and nope it cannot touch the rubber. They probably sold you a wrong one, or do you have aftermarket shocks from a cheap brand?

the chocks are genuine honda chocks... it's a kind of rubberprotection for the 'edge' of the hole. maybe for rust/tear and wear. don't know, i'll look at your topic... and maybe go back to the shop again...but well, that aren't always the smartest guys.

At which shop did you get them?
In Almelo or outside of Almelo?

go to www.improve-tuning.nl , the site is not really beautiful or up to date, but when you send a mail and ask for the product you want he can get. and it's cheaper than poth car systems or other stores over here. Normaly he sends all his products by postorder, but he lives in almelo, so you can get the stuff from his house very handy. and it's a nice guy, he will be happy to have another almelo customer. He had done a lot of work for me finding a decent(?) strutbrace that fits / hope will fit my car.

He Accord, I saw that site ones before but never saw the fax.nr matching Almelo

But they don't have strutbars on their site, did you just call the guy?
And you are right about Poth car systems.
I used to get most of my things there.

I just email the guy, they reply very fast. It isn't a real store so he works at another place and has has to find out prices etc. himself 2 (he is more peugeot/renault oriented, i got the adress of the peugeot friend of mine who i have been talking about earlier), so I think mailing works the best (imo) He has a 06 number but it's not always on.
The site itself is not good, but he can deliver more brands/parts than mentioned there.
