factory alarm

Hi fellas! I have a 98 Accord EX V6 and I want to add a shock sensor and a siren but I want to run the siren only, without the horn.
I think the factory system is not that different from any other alarm, it only needs a shock sensor to protect the glass, anyway, what I need is if anybody knows where the factory module is and the wire identification coming from the module, or if anyone has added a shock sensor to the factory system.
I'll really appreciate any input, I have been searching the web for this info for ever!!

if i am not mistaken it should be in one of three spots, under the driver seat, in the driver's kick panel (this is location on my 4cyl '02) or behind the glove, now i think it should be in the kick panel, the other locations are popular honda locations if it's not there. as for wire colors, you will have to test for them. i will tell you this though, adding a shock sensor can be done, you just need to tap and adjust the polarity to the trigger of the alarm brain, you may need to diode isolate it from the system as well. (so it will only send a signal and not recieve.)

I really appreciate it man, I looked around the kick panel and under the dash on the driver's side and did not see it, what does this unit look like?

Personally, I wouldn't try to rig a worthless factory alarm but that's me. The only way you could run a siren and not the horn is to use a relay to disrupt the horn when the alarm is tripped. As for the shock sensor, you could use the hood pin switch. On the EX models it is in a green plug next to the passenger side fuse box. The only problem is that you'd never have the warn away feature like even the cheapest Viper alarm for $149 would have.

Thanks! I have a Crime Guard 533i that I bought from crutchfield and took of my Jeep, I was thinking about using it, it has some really cool features but the reasons are that I hear people having problems disabling the factory unit and I really like the Honda remote.
If there was a way to interface them, but I guess I'll use the Crime Guard once I figure out how to disable the factory unit.

It's real easy. You just have to send a (-) pulse to the blue wire going to the alarm to disarm it.

It's a negative pulse or to ground it, I mean should I pulse it with a negative output from the Crime Guard or should I just ground it?
