Sound Deadening Material For Under The Hood?
I've noticed most new cars have that material attached to the bottom of their hoods, and Im guessing it keeps the engine a little more quiet. Is there any way to put some of that into a 4g?

That stuff is only partially to keep the engine noise down... it's more to keep the paint on the hood in good shape... to keep away some of the engine heat so the nice glossy finish from fading away.
Ever notice that Ford vehicles have a bad problem with this? The paint on the hood just goes to shit before the car is even 5 years old if it doesn't have that material under it.

Heh, and on some Fords, even with that material, the paint goes to shit.

I had the sound deadening stuff on the bottom of the hood in my CRX. I took it off and noticed no difference in sound. Plus it was rubbing against the valve cover on the b16.
