Piant Job Carelessly Done...

I have a pewter color 99 silverado truck. About a week ago i took the truck in to have a few minor dents taken out on the side panel of the truck bed. well, he took the dents out and ended up painting the whole side of the truck panel, which i guess is normal. After he painted and put the clear coat on, everything looked great. However, about a week later when i was washing my truck, i noticed the paint on the hood, top and opposite side of the truck was very rough, felt like it really needed a wax job. Then it occurred to me. When he painted that side panal, he only covered the immediate area. When he was painting that side, the mist from the paint gun must have got on the uncovered parts of the truck (including the windshield). This is VERY annoying, it takes away from the sheen and also dirt is attracted to the surface like a magnet cause of the porus surface. SO, my question is... is the painter supposed to cover the entire vehicle for this type of work. (what is standard?) and, can this be fixed somewhat easily and without much cost...ie claybar, or something like that, or does it need to ALL be repainted. This guy said hes been in this business for 20 years (you think he would know about this). If i take it back can i make him fix it? I dont want to sound to anal, but this really bugs me. Thanks
