Low tire pressure - all the time!

We have a 2003 T & C. On the compass/temp gauge, there is a warning that is constantly showing. It detects by using some sensors that the tires are low. Each time we start up the van, it beeps and continuously displays the warning.

I've checked all the tires and they are at the maximum recommended pressure. I've even put 5 pounds more than the maximum recommended pressure and the warning still goes off!

Has anyone else had this problem? I've taken it in to the dealership 3 times and each time they tell me that it's just a touchy and delicate system that can be effected by the cold. I'm not buying it.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks!

Squeaky

Complain to the service manager. What they are doing to you is not right. The vehicle is still under warranty. Look of another dealership.

I had the same problem with my tire pressure warning light. I took it to the dealership three times; they adjusted the tire pressure and reset the light twice. After about two days it would come back on. The last time the dealership told me the same thing...the tires were fine and it was because of the cold. I took it to a tire shop and they found a screw in one of the tires causing a very slow leak. They repaired the tire and the light reset itself. I never had a problem after that. I wonder if some of these service departments know what they are doing.

Re: Low tire pressure - all the time!

I had the message also, but it was a slow leak coming from around the sensor (valve stem). I thghtened it, along with the others, and no more leak.
