power steering hose on 92 Escort
Hi everyone,
I hope someone can help. My 1992 Escort had a power steering failure about 1.5 hours away. When I went there to get my wife, I took a quick look at the situation. I should have taken a better look. It's obvious that a hose burst off of the power steering pump, the pressure hose likely, it's the hose with the metal end on it visible from the front of the car. What I didn't see was where the other end of this hose is, and that is my question. Where is the other end of this hose, and how difficult is it to get to it? Is it a quick fix? I do a lot of work on our cars so I'm up for a fairly complex task, but, I'm quite pressed for time. Thanks for any help. crawfish |

Re: power steering hose on 92 Escort
I can probbaly answer that question, but need one more piece of information. Need to know if its a 1.8L or 1.9L engine. Because they are different. Tell me this and I can get back to you.

Thanks for your willingness to help. After a while, I realized I omitted that important information. I managed to get it taken care of though, not hard, but as is often the case, it was hard to get to. Being skinny has it's advantages.
Thanks |
