a big forum like this ... but no reply ...

anyway ...
you all listen to my story

I used to have my jeep working in a very good condition ...

before 7 days the problems started ...

I parked my vehicle ... near a bank ...
later I started it and everything was fine ...

here the problem started ... the engine stopped running automatically ...

I checked the fuses ... all were fine ..
then I took it to an electrision ... he was just standing when it started runing again and I drove it back to home ...

two days later ... it stopped again when I was driving it and when I was trying to turn ...
First I thought I have ranout fuel ... I found that half of the tank is still there ... I pulled out the fuel pipes ... I noticed that fuel is not comming

I stopped the truck for about 20 hours and then I pulled it to the electrision ... again it started without doing anything ...

I wrote my topic here ...

yesterday it stopped again and till now did not start ...

I checked my vehicle from down side I found that alot of oil leak is under the engine ... so could that affect ...

please help .. somebody told me that the cps is the problem ... others said the fuel pump ... but will the fuel pump run , stop , then run then stop !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ????

but how can I get sure that fuel pump is working fine ?

and if the problem is with the sensor ... where can I find it ...

I searched for the cps in the place you describe but I could not find it ....

I found a clip with 3 wires starting near the coil ends at the staring position on the top of the transmission ... the end is a balck plastic item with only one screw ... it is the sensor ... and I think it is difficult to open ...

Unhappy Fuel Pump

I just rebuilt my 4.0l and washed it in the shop wash bay, then it wouldn't start.
After three days of various testing and diagnostics (easiest: jump fuse holder with a test light *key on, no light, no pump operation = new pump) We determined that I needed a new $390cdn pump on top of my $2200 rebuild. We extracted the tank which is a long process and the pump tested fine on the bench, until it was emersed in fuel (load) then failed.
SO try jumping power to your pump test light in series it will run no matter what IF the pump is good. if no, sorry

Re: urget help help help fuel problem

I your jeep is fuel injected their is a test port on your fuel rail. You can hook a pressure gauge to the fuel rail and it will tell you what the pressure is in the fuel rail. That will also tell you if the fuel pump is working.

HI YOU DIDN'T SAY WHAT YEAR YOUR JEEP WAS, LOOK UNDER THE HOOD ON PASSENGER SIDE RIGHT BEHIND THE BATTERY THERE SHOULD BE A POWER BOX CONTAINING RELAYS & FUSES. IF SO REMOVE ILD TURN LID OVER IT HAS A DIAGRAM SHOWING & TELLING WHAT EACH RELAY & FUSE IS FOR .FIND THE RELAY FOR FUEL PUMP HAVE SOME TURN KEY ON- OFF. YOU SHOULD HEAR THE RELAY CLICK. IF NO CLICK REMOVE RELAY & REPLACE IT WITH ONE OF THE OTHERS ALL,INTERCHANGEABLE.IF IT CLICKS THEN REPLACE THE RELAY NAPA $ 8.00 DALE [email protected]

Re: urget help help help fuel problem

what engine do u have, on the 5.2 and 5.9 V8's teh Crank Sensor is on the Passenger side, behind the right exhaust manifold. on 4.0L I6 it's on the Driver side, on the side of the tranny, right above the engine oil pan. on the tranny side.
