Ls/vtec turbo
im going to turbo an ls/vtec. the heads are gong to be type r heads. will it raise the compression? can i still push high amounts of boost through the motor??

noooooo hi compression isnt turbo friendly the lower the compression the more boost it can take.. with a stock internal you may only boost up to 10-12 psi saftly but 8 psi daily driven..

if you have LS pistons still you'll be alright, but if you swapped the pistons to B16, or B18c1/5 pistons I wouldn't boost it unless you rebuild that bottom end for boost.

ls pistons still can talke more the 12psi and the rods are still weak so i still wont boost over 8 psi daily driven
