Re: Shift knob removal 90 accord

it should come out easilly, but if u want to remove the boot u have to take oiut that whole bottom end which is a couple of screws....

really u should be able to remove it without taking out the boot.

I thought it should come out easily too but when i tried to unscrew it the whole boot was twisting with the knob and i wasnt even touching the boot when trying to unscrew.

shift knob

I switched the shift knob on my other car and it was a pain to twist. I thought I was gonna break something. However I finally got it off by wrapping the shift knob in an old towel to protect it, and then twisting with vice grips. Good luck

Re: Shift knob removal 90 accord

simply push a flat head screw driver between the shifter knob and the plastic piece between the boot and the knob.. and twist.. or pry up.. thats how to get it off the 94-97 accords.. i think they are the same..? keep me posted on whats goin on

Re: Shift knob removal 90 accord

1) Stop using caps, it signifies yelling, and people don't like getting yelled at.
2) this thread is over 2 years old, please don't bring back dead threads
3) removing the shift knob...did you even read this thread, because it says exactly how to.

4) Trunk weatherstripping is a completely different topic, so please just start a new thread about it, if you want some replies.
