Re: I think I was scammed!

Sounds like you might've gotten scammed but what gets me is that he tries to scam you but does stupid things like sign a receipt and cash a check. Maybe he's legit or just really stupid. Hope it works out for you. I know the feeling, and its definitly not cool.

that's the part that is telling me that I might still have a chance to get the car. That doesn't seem like something a scammer would do, but I'm sticking with this until I get the car.

It's a good thing that you have a receipt, unless the name it's made out from is fake, or if he doesn't actually own the car/have authorization to sell it. Hope everything works out well for you, probably a good thing the lesson didn't come at too high of a price ($500 isn't too bad). Next time go and work everything out in person.

Has he cashed the cheque yet? If not, I would cancel it. It may cost you a bit, but it'll be worth it.

Re: I think I was scammed!

I heard of a scam like that. There were these two guys that were "Settling on a relatives estate" and this relative had a gabillion cars. They had photos, vin, titles, etc. They would sell them to churches who had members that were low on money and needed cars. They would charge like half of what Kelley said they were worth. People sent them the money, checks and money orders too, and never saw the cars. They were disappearing into the night with hundreds of thousands of dollars from each city. Then, they were sending the money to this other faggot, and he was using the money to fund his gambling, which he made millions on. Millions from gambling, and millions from scamming. Watch out for assholes. I'm always very careful of who I do business with. Good luck though,

NOBU

Re: I think I was scammed!

Personally, I would never buy a car online unless it was through eBay or some other organization. Too many scam artists out there, trying to rob people blind. Hope you get the car, or at least, that guys' nuts.

I called his lawyer AGAIN today and talked to his assistant, she was a big help I've called that place probably 3 times a day for the past week and still don't have a returned phone call yet. Kamron called me and left me a message today wondering why I'm so angry, gee, I wonder. lol. He said that he'll call his lawyer and try to get things going, just give it a couple days. He has offered me my money back, but that's not what I want. I've already spent hundreds of dollars on parts for this car, so my money back won't do me any good. So I'm going to give it a little while longer and then maybe I'll have to see about getting my money back. I just want my car
