Eibach Springs?

Indy mentioned in a previous post about Eibach Progressive springs. Are these available for a 97 Aurora? I can't find a listing anywhere, so are they ones for an Achieva or Cutlass or other model that happen to fit? Also, domestic performance mentions "others" when describing their $500 springs. Anyone know what they are comparing theirs to? Any info is appreciated.

Stephen

drop

I'm looking into it. I want to go down about 2.5 inches in front, about 2.25 in back. I'm will contact a company which makes adjustable struts (AIM industries) and or air struts. the tricky part is the rear with the air shocks separate from the springs. I just got 20's for it also and don't want it to look like a fkn roller skate. this car has a great shape and needs to get down to look right especially with 20's. check cardomain.com, a few rides with 20's none down tho. will do it right, don't just want a low rider that rides like sht.

I know a guy that can do custom springs for about $350 a set, if there is enough interest. Probably would need 5-10 people. Of course the more the sets, the lower the price. But i'm thinking more along the lines of 1 - 1.5" drop.

Eibach springs!

boy wonder,

I found the link below for 95-96 Eibach springs along with new load
leveling shocks. The price isn't to bad. I plan on buying them
for my '95 but heard the spring rate is a little low in the
rear. You might call the manufacturer and ask if the 95-96
springs work on a '97. I don't see why they wouldn't unless
they had a major suspension change between years.

Good luck!

Re: Eibach Springs?

Domestic Performance makes the springs with cooperation of a spring company who mass-produces springs for other large companies. Each set is made per order. We use the original stock springs from GM as a base and the order comes entirely custom. The problem with this is the cost is higher than if we used a "fit all" spring. This also means now that we have all the codes worked out they will fit perfectly.

We have learned the hard way making many sets and working with GM to work out all the ever-changing spring codes.

Finally they are totally worked out but expect to wait at least 8weeks due to all the variables. The original buyers of the product have waited a lot longer.

If there is a “group buy” of the product the price will obviously drop. I doubt there is enough people interested though.

“Other” companies had made the springs but they made a mass use style and made it poorly in my opinion.

I can pass on some info about the years though.

95-96 same front springs

95-97 has 3 different types of rear springs.

97-99 two types of front springs but the same rate.

98-99 4 types of rear springs one exclusive to the 1999 rear.

2001-2003 fronts has 4 types of front springs

2001-2003 rears springs 4 types as well.

This is just for the 4.0l

We can do the V6 as well but demand dictates.

Ty
