X-mods Are Very Cool

Hey guys, i am new here, i found this site through a link from a xmod forum i belong to, regarding this guy building an intercooler for his model, then i seen this forum, and people asking about xmods, they are great little r/c cars, very fast stock, and very upgradeble, but what is really cool, is that you can adapt alot of 1/25th scale model bodies to fit, i have always wanted to do that and now i can, especially of the cars i have previously owned, here is my datsun 510 project that i am doing now, i have owned 5 of these lil gems, i love em, great cars and a BLAST TO DRIVE,

just got through modifying it to fit my xmod chassis, which was fairly easy, will be bright yellow, with working dual headlites and taillights, had to cut out taillights and install some homemade lens, should look good when i get done, will try to post pics when painted, anyhow, hopefully noone will get upset if i offer couple forums here for those interested in the most exstensive info regarding these lil hot numbers by radio shack, thay are XMODWORLD.com and MICRORCCENTER.com
happy r/c'in

I'm still a little sketchy on those. I'd like to see a head to head comparo between an X-mod and a Kyosho Mini-Z before I switch over to X-Mods.

Still, I like your 510 body swap.

One thing I've been thinking that would be too cool would be to take a commercial 1:24th scale slot car track, fill in the slots, and hold Mini-Z races on it.

You get what you pay for...the MiniZ has beter quality...like the bodies are better proportioned/painted/detailed and dont have ugly gaps in the body panels, also the transmitter feels really shitty in the XMOD, the steering wheel and throttle bind and you can feel the spring sticking and clicking inside. Mine is fast and handles well but the car makes sharper left turns than right turns...because the whhels don't turn enough to the right...other than that they're cool for $50.

Win an XMODS Starter Kit!

Does anyone want to win an XMODS starter kit? There's an Webmaster Outreach Program you can join...you just need to have your own website and post a link or one of the XMODS images...here's the link: http://www.xmodsrc.com/webmaster_instructions.html. They give away 2 XMODS per month to participants!
